Cluster FVG Legno Arredo Casa is the strategic hub representing the wood and furniture industry of Friuli Venezia Giulia, one of Italy’s most dynamic and design-driven regions. The Cluster brings together companies, research centres and institutions committed to promoting innovation, sustainability and internationalization across the entire furniture and interior design value chain.
Renowned for its craftsmanship, advanced manufacturing and cutting-edge materials, the FVG wood-furniture sector stands out globally as an example of Made-in-Italy excellence. Through collaboration and shared initiatives, the Cluster supports the growth of its members and their positioning in international markets.
In the second half of 2025, ICCO Canada collaborated with Cluster FVG Legno Arredo Casa, with the support of the Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario).
The goal of this collaboration was to strengthen business connections between Italy and Canada, facilitate market entry for Italian companies, and provide concrete tools to navigate the Canadian business environment. The initiative aimed at promoting innovation, trade development, and long-term partnerships between Canadian stakeholders and the Italian wood-furniture sector.
As part of this initiative, a dedicated seminar was organized in collaboration with the Italian American Chamber of Commerce and the Cluster Legno Arredo Casa.
Our recent session provided a comprehensive overview of the North American market, with a particular focus on Canada and Ontario. The program examined key trade regulations and free trade agreements, offering participants practical legal and commercial insights on market entry, compliance requirements, and effective positioning strategies for Italian companies seeking to succeed in the region.
