Meet Maria Gagliano, she’s one of the five hearts behind Sorelle Siciliani, bringing her Sicilian roots back to warmth, wellness, and tradition.

The youngest of ten, Maria grew up in a Sicilian household where the kitchen was never quiet and love was measured in servings. Her most cherished memories were made alongside her mother, Giuseppina, where recipes were passed down. But not from a book, from the heart. She learned early that food was more than fuel, it was how her family celebrated life and togetherness.

The dream of starting her own bakery was not just as a tradition, but as a healing journey. She began reimagining the Sicilian classics as healthier, nourishing dishes without compromising flavour.

In 2021, Menus by Maria was born. Today, through her culinary venture and her now new passion with Sicily with Love, Maria invites others to experience the story behind every dish, shaped by tradition, culture and truly delicious food.

The philosophy behind Menus by Maria since it launched in 2021, is “Healthy eating is delicious eating.” I believe in the power of nourishing food, using quality, wholesome ingredients to help heal your body. The community connections, family traditions and shared moments around the table feed your soul. Giving back to the community is very important to me, so I donate 15% of my net proceeds to Sunnybrook Cancer Odette Centre. Thank you for being part of the adventure! It’s only just begun.
