The Authentic Italian Table is part of a series of initiatives under the True Italian Taste project aimed at highlighting authentic Italian products with DOP and IGP designations. As part of the 2019 program, four local chefs—Roberto Fracchioni (Centennial College), Fraser Macfarlane (Quatrefoil), Michael Russell (Royal Canadian Yacht Club) and Andrew Thorne (The Good Earth Food & Wine Co.)—will participate in an educational tour of the Emilia Romagna region and then present special dining experiences upon their return.

– June 7, 2019 – Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Toronto. Dinner for RCYC members only.
– June 17, 2019 – The Local Restaurant, Centennial College, Toronto. Featuring all participating chefs and special guest Chef Carla Brigliadori from Casa Artusi; 5 course dinner for $50 (plus HST) or paired with wine for $75. These events celebrate regional Italian cuisine from Emilia Romagna and invite Canadian diners to discover authentic flavours. Seating is limited, so guests are encouraged to reserve early. The series is part of a broader program taking place simultaneously in other North American cities.
