(TORONTO, November 21, 2024) – The Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada (ICCO Canada) is excited to announce the appointment of Marco Zambon as its new Executive Director, effective November 22, 2024. With a distinguished career in marketing and business development, as well as a deep commitment to the Italian community, Marco brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a fresh perspective to the role.
ICCO Canada has long served as a key connector between Italy and Canada, fostering economic, cultural, and social connections between the two countries. In this new role, Zambon will spearhead initiatives that build on the Chamber’s legacy of promoting bilateral trade, strengthening relationships with partners and stakeholders, and creating innovative programs to support the business community.
“I am deeply honoured to join the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada as Executive Director,” says Zambon. “Italy and Canada share a rich and enduring bond, and I am committed to advancing opportunities for collaboration, trade, and cultural exchange that benefit our members and communities. Together with the ICCO Canada team, I look forward to contributing to a new chapter of growth, success, and
innovation, with a focus on expanding business opportunities.”
As Executive Director, Zambon will focus on advancing key priorities such as completing the CAMERA project, expanding membership engagement, launching forward-thinking programs, and strengthening the relationship with the Canadian and Italian governments. With a keen eye on business innovation, trade, and global opportunities, he aims to ensure that the Chamber’s initiatives align with the evolving needs of its
members.
The ICCO Canada Board of Directors expressed strong enthusiasm for this new leadership.
“We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to have worked with our late Executive Director, Corrado Paina, who is profoundly missed by all and whose contributions have left an enduring legacy at the ICCO Canada. We are confident that Marco will honour this legacy and guide the ICCO Canada to even greater achievements.” say Tony Altomare and Pat Pelliccione, ICCO Canada’s Co-Presidents.
For over 63 years, the ICCO Canada has championed initiatives that celebrate Italian excellence while fostering collaboration and business opportunities across industries. Under Zambon’s leadership, the Chamber is poised to continue this vital work, building stronger ties between the Italian and Canadian communities.
